NDTV news channel received a defemation notice of Rs. 10,000 crore from Ahmedabad court. This has been filed by Anil Ambani’s Reliance Infrastructure Ltd for doing Rafale coverage. Court will hear this case on 26th October.

AAP minister Sanjay Singh has also recieved defamation notice of Rs. 5,000 crore in Reliance-Rafale case. Sanjay Singh has given a sharp reaction on the defamation case filed against him. He has called the BJP-Ambani alliance as ‘British rule’ of present time.

He tweeted, “Billionaire Ambani has filed a defamation suit for Rs. 5,000 crores. I have exposed Rafale’s big scam, I am going to ‘Gandhi’s Gujarat’ to fight with Britishers for justice.”

NDTV had aired a show on Rafale deal on 29th September. In this show, questions about the role of Reliance in the Rafael deal were raised. Channel had requested top Reliance executives to take part in the show. But, they refused the proposal. NDTV is alleging that Rs. 10,000 crore defamation is an attempt to stop media from doing its work. NDTV says that he will keep his word with the facts in the court.

Its worth noting that France ex-president France Hollande had questions on Rafale deal just few days before program was aired. NDTV says that all parties were kept in the program. Since Relaince’s deal has become a big issue in India; so the Reliance group is sending out notices to media and politicians.
