Mehbooba Mufti, president of Jammu and Kashmir Peoples Democratic Party, has accused BJP president Amit Shah of doing communal politics. She tweeted that he is calling Muslim Bangladeshis as infiltrators on one hand, and hindus as refugees on the other.

Mehbooba Mufti also said that New Zealand’s PM had shown positive response towards muslims after Churchgate attack; and this is opposite to the communal politics being done by BJP.

It is to note that BJP president Amit Shah said during his rally that if his party returns to power then they will make Assam free of infiltrators. The main target of BJP has been Bangladeshi muslims. Because, mostly muslims migrate to India from Bangladesh.

Amit Shah also has promised to ‘throw-out infiltrator’ from West Bengal and also said that this would not affect the ‘Hindu refugees. This clearly shows that BJP is willing to accommodate more Hindus in the region and is wary of Muslims. The reason behind this ‘communal strategy’ of BJP is that the party often uses religion in its politics and gets away with that. If there will be more Hindus in the region then party will benefit, but not by Muslims. That’s why all this seems to be election planning by Amit Shah and his party.

It is to note that in the month of March, a shooting attack on two Christchurch mosques took place in New Zealand. It was alleged that one of the attacker was Australian extremist. This attack was intentionally done against Muslims.

Jacinda Ardern, New Zealand PM, said that  “They are us. The person who has perpetuated this violence against us is not. They have no place in New Zealand.”

That’s why Mehbooba Mufti tweeted, ” Compare this to New Zealand PMs measured & considerate response post churchgate attacks. Such an embarrassing contrast.”

New Zealand’s PM had shown solidarity with the Muslim community while BJP tries to cut them out of their list. They are doing the same in the upcoming elections.
